The direct answer
Studio FYUL is a rigid box manufacturer based in Okhla, New Delhi. We make custom rigid boxes for gifting, jewellery, beauty, food hampers, fashion, electronics, corporate kits and product presentation. A rigid box uses thick board—commonly Kappa board—wrapped with printed or specialty paper, which gives the pack its strength and finished appearance.
The right rigid box is not selected only from a reference photograph. Product size, weight, insert, opening style, paper, print effect, packing method, quantity and budget all affect the construction. We help convert these requirements into a workable box direction before production.
This is a separate search-focused manufacturer page. Studio FYUL’s existing minimal rigid-box portfolio page remains unchanged and can be used to see the visual work.
Rigid box constructions
Rigid box is a broad category. The construction should match how the product is packed, displayed, opened and stored—not just the look you want in a photograph.
A separate lid and base create a familiar premium form. The lid depth, reveal, paper and insert can be adjusted around the product and desired opening resistance.
A hinged rigid box with a magnetic closure is useful for gifting and presentation. Magnet position, board thickness and repeated opening should be considered during planning.
A cover-style opening can create a deliberate reveal for kits, jewellery, invitations, apparel, documents and premium product combinations.
An inner tray slides from an outer sleeve. Product weight, pull detail, friction, insert and clearances must work together for a smooth opening.
Festive, corporate and occasion boxes can hold one product or an assortment. Inserts, sleeves, cards and printed paper bags may be coordinated as one set.
Kappa board—also searched as Kapa board—is commonly used below the paper wrap. Thickness and construction depend on box size, product weight and desired rigidity.
Decision guide
Use this as a starting point. Final construction should be confirmed after the actual product, dimensions and quantity are reviewed.
| Rigid box format | Good for | Opening experience | Important production point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top-bottom box | Gifts, apparel, beauty, food hampers | Lift-off lid with a visible reveal | Lid fit and box depth must be balanced |
| Magnetic box | Corporate kits, premium gifting, electronics | Hinged opening with positive closure | Magnet, hinge and wrap alignment matter |
| Drawer box | Jewellery, accessories, compact products | Slow pull-out reveal | Tray clearance and pull strength need checking |
| Book-style box | Invitations, documents, product sets | Cover opens like a book | Spine, hinge and internal fit must work together |
| Rigid box with sleeve | Launches, festive editions, retail presentation | Secondary layer adds reveal and information | Sleeve movement and finish rubbing should be tested |

From brief to production
Share product dimensions, weight, quantity, use, delivery city, target date and reference images. For multiple products, show the preferred arrangement.
Select the opening style, board direction, depth, insert and closure. The product should fit securely without making packing unnecessarily difficult.
Plan the wrap artwork, paper, printing, foil, embossing or other finish. Important areas should be placed with folds, edges and joins in mind.
Dimensions, artwork and technical details are checked before final production. Where sampling forms part of the agreed scope, it helps confirm fit and construction.
Approved boxes move through printing, finishing, board construction, wrapping, assembly and packing according to the selected specification.
Board, wrap and finish
The appearance of a rigid box comes from the full build: board thickness, corner construction, wrapping paper, print, lamination, edge finishing and the way the insert sits. A costly finish cannot correct a weak proportion or an unsuitable structure.
Depending on the brief, the outer wrap can use printed art paper, kraft or textured paper. Finishing may include foil, embossing, debossing, spot UV or screen printing. Every additional process should have a clear visual or functional purpose.
Inserts may be paperboard, foam or another suitable structure depending on the product and agreed specification. If material restrictions or sustainability requirements apply, mention them before design approval.
Delhi NCR enquiries
Studio FYUL is located at D-48, Okhla Industrial Area Phase-I, New Delhi. We take custom rigid box enquiries from Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. You can begin remotely by sharing product dimensions, quantity, references and delivery location.
Local access can make product review, samples and approvals easier when the project needs a physical discussion. It does not remove the need for a clear written specification. Material, quantity, schedule, delivery scope and approval responsibilities should still be documented with the quotation.
For visual references, see our rigid boxes portfolio. For a quotation, send the actual product details rather than asking for a standard per-box rate.

Detailed answers
Detailed answers for brand, procurement and design teams comparing custom rigid box manufacturers in Delhi NCR.
A rigid box is a strong, non-collapsible presentation box generally made from thick board wrapped with printed or specialty paper. Unlike a folding carton, it normally keeps its finished shape. Rigid boxes are commonly used for premium gifting, jewellery, cosmetics, electronics, apparel, invitations and product kits. The exact structure may be top-bottom, magnetic, drawer, book-style or another custom format. Board thickness, wrap, insert and opening style should be selected around the product.
Yes. Studio FYUL is based at D-48, Okhla Industrial Area Phase-I, New Delhi. We manufacture custom rigid boxes for brand, gifting and presentation requirements and take enquiries from Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. Start by sending product dimensions, required quantity, reference images, delivery city and target date. A specific quotation can be given only after the construction, material, print and finishing expectations are understood.
Rigid boxes use thick wrapped board and usually retain their finished shape. Mono cartons use printable folding paperboard and are commonly supplied flat or folded. A rigid box generally offers more strength and a premium opening experience, while a mono carton can be lighter and more efficient for regular retail packaging. Neither is automatically better. The correct choice depends on product weight, protection, shelf or gifting use, quantity, budget, storage and transport.
Yes, magnetic gift boxes can be manufactured as a custom rigid-box format. The lid is normally hinged and magnets support the closure. The box size, board, magnet position, hinge, wrap and insert must be planned together. A magnetic closure adds cost and complexity, so it should be selected when it improves the use or presentation. Share the product, quantity and reference to check whether a magnetic box or a simpler top-bottom construction is more suitable.
A Kappa box generally refers to a rigid box made using Kappa board below a paper wrap. People also search for it using the spelling Kapa box. The board gives the box structure, while the outside paper carries the printed or specialty finish. Board thickness is not selected in isolation; finished size, product weight, opening style and insert all affect the build. Studio FYUL can discuss a workable board and wrap combination after reviewing the brief.
Rigid boxes can be made in many custom dimensions, but the size must be technically and commercially workable. Very small details, extreme proportions, heavy products or complicated inserts may require changes to the initial idea. Share accurate product measurements and weight, including caps, handles or accessories that project beyond the main body. For multiple items, provide every dimension and the preferred arrangement. Final size should allow safe fit, practical packing and reasonable board construction.
There is no honest single MOQ for every rigid box. The workable minimum depends on dimensions, structure, paper, printing, finishing, insert, manual assembly and setup. A simple top-bottom box and a magnetic multi-part box will have different economics. Share the quantity you actually need and mention whether repeats are expected. Studio FYUL can then suggest a suitable production route instead of giving a standard MOQ that may not apply to your specification.
Rigid-box pricing is affected by finished dimensions, board thickness, wrap paper, print coverage, lamination, foil, embossing, insert, magnets, ribbons, assembly, quantity and delivery scope. Large boxes use more material and take more packing space. Small boxes can still be expensive when they include detailed finishing or manual work. When comparing quotations, ensure that the dimensions, board, paper, finishes, insert, quantity and delivery terms are the same.
Yes. Inserts can be planned for bottles, jars, jewellery, accessories, food packs and mixed product sets. The best insert depends on item weight, shape, fragility, surface and the required presentation. Product samples or accurate dimensions are important. An insert must hold the items without making removal frustrating or leaving excessive movement. If materials such as foam are restricted, state this before the structure is finalised so alternatives can be discussed.
Options may include printed or textured paper, lamination, hot or cold foil, embossing, debossing, spot UV and screen printing. The strongest result does not always use the most finishes. A well-proportioned box with one controlled foil or texture can feel more premium than a surface with many competing effects. Finish suitability depends on paper, artwork, quantity and production method. Important colours and finish locations should be approved before manufacturing.
The schedule depends on structure, size, quantity, material availability, printing, finishing, insert, assembly and approval time. A basic top-bottom box and a magnetic box with a complex insert cannot follow the same timeline. Share the required delivery date at the first discussion. Studio FYUL can confirm a realistic production schedule only after specifications and approvals are clear. Keep time for artwork, samples where applicable, changes, packing and delivery movement.
Yes. Studio FYUL can support structure and visual design depending on the agreed scope. Some clients provide final artwork, while others need help translating a brand direction into a box. Design approval and technical approval are separate: text, colours and graphics need review, while dimensions, dielines, folds, edges, inserts and finish placement need production checks. Final responsibility and the number of revisions should be agreed before design work begins.
More sustainable choices can be discussed, but the full pack should be considered. Board, wrap paper, lamination, magnets, foam, ribbons, box size, durability and transport all affect the outcome. State your material restrictions and any required certification or claim at the start. Avoid making unsupported environmental claims only because the outer surface is paper. The most practical route may involve reducing unnecessary components, using a right-sized structure and selecting materials that suit the actual product.
Studio FYUL takes rigid-box enquiries from Gurgaon, Noida and other Delhi NCR locations. Delivery or collection scope, charges and timing should be confirmed with the quotation. You can begin by WhatsApp or email with product details, dimensions, quantity, references and delivery postcode. If a physical product or sample review is useful, it can be planned after the initial requirement is understood. The manufacturing page does not replace a written project specification.
Use accurate dimensions, approved production artwork and clear finish instructions. Where colour is critical, agree on a reference and understand that material and process can affect appearance. Check spelling, logos, foil position, insert fit, edge areas and opening movement before approval. A physical sample may help when included in the project scope, but normal process variation can still occur. Keep one authorised contact responsible for consolidating feedback and giving final approval.
